How it works
The checker uses the Hunspell American English word list, the same open-source dictionary used by Firefox, LibreOffice and macOS. It runs inside your browser, so it works offline once the page has loaded and nothing is sent anywhere.
Questions
Why is a correct word underlined?
Names, brands and very new words are not in the dictionary. Click Ignore for that word. Capitalised words and acronyms in full capitals are skipped.
Does it check British spelling?
It checks American English. "Colour" and "organise" will be flagged; ignore them if you write British English.
